平家の繁栄から壇ノ浦へ至る時代を、平知盛とその周囲の人々から描く作品。父の期待を背負う知盛、戦を避けたい重衡、忠義を貫く教経の選択が交わります。熊倉飛鳥の宝塚大劇場デビュー作として上演されました。
